I’ve lived in Transcona (mission gardens) my entire life. I attended Bernie Wolfe and Transcona Collegiate. My wife and I have two children – one who attends PNCC and our daughter is in Grade 1 and attends another centre. I have some experience participating on a board. I am currently the Chair at another school-age centre.
It’s my second year on the board. I’ve been working in Information Technology for 22 years. I began my career as a software developer and currently hold a leadership role with Canada Life (formerly Great-West Life) as Director of Salesforce Platform Engineering. My time in large organizations has provided me with experience in recruiting and hiring, management of project and fixed budgets of ~6 million per year, performance and compensation management, business process optimization, and all kinds of technology. I try to be culture additive and create an environment where my teams know how valued they are – this means raising my hand to organize small in-person team events for staff spread across Canada or plan huge divisional holiday parties for 600 employees – and it of course means doing my best to all the small things right each and every day.
